In conclusion, the lyrics of The Gospel Truth I, II, III, Go the Distance, Zero to Hero, and I Won’t Say I’m in Love are important to the film of “Hercules.” The characters were introduced and developed through more than just dialogue, but through song. The plot was connected by each song and created an excellent flow of ideas. Themes of self-realization, love, and transformation were represented by the lyrics sang by each character. Disney’s “Hercules” came together for a wonderful story that is liked by many, the songs having an important part in that. It is strange to think that I will remember the lyrics to these songs throughout my entire life; I am not complaining though.
